Separate Administration Console installation in Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers

This article refers to:

  • Kaspersky Security 9.2 for Microsoft Exchange Servers Maintenance Release 2 (version 9.2.39.0);
  • Kaspersky Security 9.1 for Microsoft Exchange Servers Maintenance Release 1 (version 9.1.42.0);
  • Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers (version 9.0.129.0).
 
 
 
 

The Administration Console of Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers can be installed separately from Security Server on any computer within the enterprise network. If several administrators are working jointly, the Administration Console can be installed on each administrator's computer.

To install the Administration Console, follow the steps below. 

  1. Run setup_en.exe.
  2. In the start window, perform these steps, if necessary:
    • Download and install the required component .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 (if not installed).
    • Download and install the required component Microsoft Management Console 3.0 (if not installed). 
  3. Run the Setup wizard by clicking the link Install Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers. If the Microsoft Exchange Server is not installed on the workstation, the wizard will only install Administration Console.

Please note. To connect Administration Console to a remote Security Server, add the service Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers to the trusted application list of the firewall on the remote server, or allow RPC connections.
