The article concerns the following versions of Kaspersky Security Center 10:

  • Service Pack 3 (version 10.5.1781.0)
  • Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1 (version 10.4.343)

If you use Blue Coat proxy appliances with the Detect Protocol option enabled, Kaspersky Security Network may not work.

Detect Protocol is a feature that identifies traffic type and redirects it to the port used by this type of traffic by default (for example, if an SSL connection comes in on port 80 (typically used for HTTP instead of SSL), if Protocol Detection is enabled, it will be redirected to port 443).

To eliminate incompatibility issues, disable the Detect Protocol option. To do so, add the following command to the Blue Coat configuration file:

http.method=CONNECT detect_protocol(no) ALLOW

For detailed information, see the Blue Coat knowledge base.
