How to enable/disable self-defense of Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for File Server

Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for File Server secures your computer protection against malware. Therefore, sometimes the application is the target for malicious programs which try to block the application or delete it from your computer. In order to protect the application,  Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for File Server includes the self-defense and external service control components.

In some cases, for example, deleting large trace files, you may need to disable the application self-defense.

In order to enable/disable the application self-defense, perform the following actions:

  1. Open Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for File Server.
  2. Click the Settings link in the upper right corner of the window.

 

  1. In the left part of the Settings window on the General tab, select the Self-Defense item.
  2. In the Self-Defense Settings section, select/deselect the checkbox Enable Self-Defense.
  3. In the right bottom corner click the OK button.

  1. Close the main application window.
