Kaspersky Security Center 10 allows installing software on groups of managed computers remotely. For remote installation, create an installation package of one of the following types:

  • The installation package for Kaspersky Lab applications is created based on the configuration files with the KUD and KPD extensions. These files contain information about the installation process and the installation parameters. Files are located in the \\localhost\KLSHARE\Packages\application_name\exec folder.  The KUD file is a KPD file in the Unicode format.
  • An installation package based on MSI, EXE, MSP, BAT, or CMD files or applications from the Kaspersky Lab database.
  • An installation package of an application from the Kaspersky Lab database.
  • Installation package with an operating system image.

Before creating an installation package, make sure that the option Display Vulnerability and Patch Management option is enabled in the Kaspersky Security Center 10 interface settings. See this article for instructions.
