This article concerns Kaspersky Security Center 10:

A policy is inherited automatically if there is no active policy in the child group. A policy is not inherited if there is only an active policy in the child group. Mandatory policy settings are inherited if there are active policies in the child group and the upper-level group.

To enable or disable policy inheritance:

  1. Open Kaspersky Security Center 10.
  2. Go to the Managed devices node and open the Policies tab.
  3. Open the policy properties and go to the General section.
  4. Enable or disable policy inheritance.
    • To disable policy inheritance, clear the Inherit settings from upper-level policy checkbox. The parameter values for child policies will be able to modified.
    • To enable policy inheritance, select the Inherit settings from upper-level policy or Force inheritance of settings in child policies checkbox. The parameter values for child policies will not be able to modified.
  5. Click OK.
