Trusted zone is a list of objects located beyond the scan area of the Protection component in Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for Personal Computer. Depending on the objective, your may specify objects included in:

  • exclusion rules;
  • list of trusted applications.

An Exclusion rule is a set of conditions under which Kaspersky Small Office Security for Personal Computer does not scan the following: a file of a certain format, a group of files that match a mask, a particular area (such as a folder or application), an application process or object that matches a name or mask according to the Virus Encyclopedia classification.

In Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for Personal Computer, exclusion rules may be only created for the following components:

  • File Anti-Virus;
  • Mail Anti-Virus;
  • Web Anti-Virus;
  • Application Control;
  • Scan;
