The Web Anti-Virus component is designed to ensure the security while using the Internet. It monitors the data that comes into your computer via the HTTP and FTP protocols and prevents dangerous scripts from being executed on the computer.
By default, Web Anti-Virus is enabled and operates in the mode developed by Kaspersky Lab specialists.
To enable or disable Web Anti-Virus, do the following:
Web Anti-Virus can work in several modes called security levels. Each security level is a particular Web Anti-Virus preset created by Kaspersky Lab specialists. There are three security levels available in Kaspersky Small Office Security for Personal Computer.

Each web page or file that is accessed by the user, or by a program via the HTTP and FTP protocols, is intercepted and analyzed for malicious code by Web Anti-Virus. Malicious objects are detected using both databases and the heuristic algorithm. The databases contain descriptions of all the malicious programs known to date and methods for neutralizing them. The heuristic algorithm can detect new viruses that have not yet been added to the database. Once the application detects malicious code while analyzing an object, the action taken by the Web Anti-Virus component depends on the option you have selected.
If the program operates in an automatic mode, then the action that should be performed on threat detection will be selected automatically.
