When installing Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Servers MP1 on a SharePoint server farm, the application needs to be installed one-by-one on all servers of a SharePoint farm. When the installation is complete on the first server of a SharePoint farm server, you can use the Application Configuration Wizard to perform the initial setup of the application.

Protection on other servers of a SharePoint farm is only enabled after installation of Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Servers MP1, if the SharePoint server protection has been enabled at the Enable protection step in the Application Configuration Wizard.

When installing Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Servers MP1 on othjer servers of a SharePoint farm, the initial settings configured during installation of the application on the first SharePoint farm server will be used. These are the global settings applied to all servers of the farm. If you are installing the application on the remaining servers of a SharePoint farm, the Application Configuration Wizard will not be started. When the installation is complete, the Setup Wizard closes automatically.

To apply the global database update settings to all servers of the SharePoint farm:

  1. In the Administration Console tree, select and open the node corresponding to the SharePoint server. Then select the Updates node.

  2. In the details pane, go to the Update settings of servers tab, select the necessary server in the table and click the Propagate global settings button.

The Protection of farm servers section displays the information on possible protection issues in the SharePoint server farm. If any servers of the SharePoint farm do not access the database for the last 60 seconds, such farm servers are considered idle. The number of such servers and their list are also displayed in this section. Detailed information about the reasons why the database is not accessed is displayed in the table on the Farm servers tab.
