How to enable/disable self-defense in Kaspersky Internet Security 2014

Sometimes the application is the target for malicious programs which try to block the application or delete it from your computer. In order to protect the application, Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 includes the self-defense and external service control components. In some cases, for example, deleting large trace files, you need to disable the application self-defense.

In order to enable/disable the application self-defense, perform the following actions:

  1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2014.
  2. At the right bottom corner of the window click Settings.

  1. In the Settings window go to the Additional tab and select Self-Defense.

  1. If access to the application settings is password-protected, enter your password and click Continue.

  1. Check/clear the Enable Self-Defense box.

  1. In the Attention! window click Accept.

  1. Close the application window.
