How to enable riskware detection in Kaspersky Security Cloud 19

By default, Kaspersky Security Cloud detects threats and viruses. However, there are some applications, known as riskware applications, which do not pose any threat by themselves but can be used for attacks.

To enable detection of legitimate programs which can be used for malicious purposes:

  1. In the main window of Kaspersky Security Cloud, click The settings icon in the lower-left corner.

  1. Go to Additional → Threats and Exclusions.

  1. Select the checkbox Detect other software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data.

Enabling riskware detection in Kaspersky Security Cloud 19

Detection of riskware will be enabled.

Upon enabling riskware detection, we recommend that you do the following:

  1. Update the anti-virus databases. See this article for instructions.
